Our Office

We have been caring for the hard-working people of Iowa for three generations. Located in the heart of Oelwein, our practice combines small-town warmth with modern dental excellence.

Our focus is family dental services with a kid-friendly environment and a caring touch. You will feel at home in our warm and inviting atmosphere. A classic office with a modern touch provides a comfortable experience for patients of all ages.

Dr. Jenna Schares and our hygienists have decades of combined experience in a wide variety of specialties. Whether you are visiting for a routine cleaning or a complex procedure, we will take great care of you from the moment you walk in the door.

Meet Your Dentist

Jenna Schares, DDS

Dr. Schares is the owner and principal dentist at the practice. Born and raised in Evansdale, Iowa, her family later moved to Springfield, Missouri, where she graduated high school and eventually college. She earned a bachelor's degree in Cell & Molecular Biology at Missouri State University.

Military Service

Dr. Schares joined the United States Air Force after graduating from Missouri State University and completed commissioned officer training at Maxwell AFB in Alabama. While in the Air Force, she attended The University of Missouri-Kansas City and earned a Doctorate of Dental Surgery.

She continued serving the Air Force as an active-duty officer and dentist for five years. She completed a one-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency and served at Offutt AFB (Nebraska), McConnell AFB (Kansas), and overseas in Guatemala.

Family & Community

Dr. Schares and her husband, Nate, married in 2018 and returned to their roots in northeast Iowa. Nate is an electrical engineer, Iowa State graduate, and a Jesup, Iowa native. Together, they serve the community through organizations such as Rotary and Little Husky Learning Center.

Dr. Schares enjoys spending her free time with Nate, their sons Lance and Ray, and their dachshund Bentley, at their home in Oelwein.
